The main ingredient of Spiral Welded Steel Pipe is
steel plate with coil form. The steel plate is torn, flatted, then
formed using Forming Roll, which results the spiral shape. This
spiral welding process is performed by Submerged Arc Welder automatically
and simultaneously. The welding process takes place on the bottom
side, which rolls outward, then the upside rolling inward. The welded
pipes are then cut at a particular length using Automatic Cut off
Machine. Double checking using X-Ray and Ultrasonic will guarantee
the quality of Spiral Welded Steel Pipe.
Specific Characteristics of Spiral Welded Steel
Pipe
- Extra strength 10% - 25% than linier welded steel
pipe.
- Lower operational cost.
- Order-based custom specification which will lead
to efficiency in material usage.
- Small tolerance in linierity and circularity.
- Quality guaranty of Submerged Arc Welding.
- Small remaining tention, either by heat or pressure.
- Ease at cutting operation.
